Significant Update On Gable Steveson’s NFL Career

WWE released Gable Steveson in May after he failed to prove himself in the pro wrestling ring. However, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for the Olympic gold medalist, as while he missed the Olympic trials and therefore couldn’t win another gold medal, he signed with the Buffalo Bills.

Yet, after just three months with the NFL team, it was reported by Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network on X that Steveson had officially been waived, although it was stated that he might join the practice squad.

The 24-year-old was a very controversial signing for WWE in 2021 due to the terrible allegations made against him two years earlier. However, those in power believed that the Olympic gold medalist was a combination of the next Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar and thus decided any backlash was worth recruiting him in. Subsequently, he was included in the 2021 draft, indicating he was being fast-tracked to the Raw roster. Yet, that ended up not being the case, and he quietly joined the NXT roster in June 2022 but was barely featured.
