Lacey Von Erich Shares Heartbreaking Reason Why She Hasn’t Watched “The Iron Claw”

The Iron Claw was released in 2023 and has been highly praised by both wrestling fans and non-fans for how it told the tragic story of the Von Erich family. However, Lacey Von Erich, the daughter of former WWE star Kerry Von Erich, has revealed she has actually never watched the movie despite attending the multiple premieres, heartbreakingly disclosing during a recent interview , “ I won’t watch my dad die .”

“I won’t watch the movie. I was there when they were filming. I went to all the premieres, but me and Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White would just go to dinner while the movie was going on for everybody else for the premieres because I won’t watch my dad die. I’m just not going to do that.”

Kerry Von Erich, real name Kerry Adkisson, was one of the biggest wrestling stars of the 80s, winning the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship from Ric Flair in front of 45,000 fans at Texas Stadium in 1984. Additionally, he would work for WWE and memorably won the Intercontinental Championship from Mr. Perfect at SummerSlam 1990. Yet, due to the breakdown of his marriage, drug issues stemming from the fact he’d lost his foot in a motorcycle accident, and the fact he was heading to prison for violating his probation, he took his own life, aged just 33.
