On Monday afternoon, news spread on social media that Odyssey Jones had been removed from WWE’s official roster page, which obviously isn’t a good sign for his fans. And while it still remains unclear whether he has been let go, Dave Meltzer has stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that it wasn’t a “ glitch ,” and it looks like he is no longer with the company. Why WWE would release someone so soon after debuting them on the main roster remains a mystery, although it will likely be revealed in the coming days.

“I’ve asked around, and if it had been any kind of a glitch or something, it would have been corrected, or we would have heard it was a glitch…I’m relatively certain he’s done, but it has not been confirmed anywhere. I’ve heard a bunch of stories, but nothing that I would say is confirmed, but it looks like he’s no longer with the company.”

30-year-old Jones, real name Omari Palmer, started out as a college football player for Syracuse University, playing 36 games in total. However, following a leg injury, he would instead pursue a career in pro wrestling. This would see him sign a developmental deal with WWE, although his time with the company has been very stop-start, with him being off television for extended periods of time. Still, with him having made his main roster debut last month, it looked like he was set to become a big deal, especially after Triple H called him a “ game changer ” on X.
