MVP recently departed WWE, which wasn’t a huge surprise as he was hardly being used. However, while some former talents decide to go quietly, hoping they might be re-hired in the future or at least get offered a Legends Contract, MVP is seemingly happy to burn bridges.

This is evident after he previously called his former boss Triple H a “ coward and a liar ” on Instagram and has now revealed during a virtual autograph signing that he only found out The Hurt Business wasn’t reuniting after seeing Bobby Lashley was put with The Street Profits.

“We were told we were going to be reunited. I still have a shirt. The shirts were made. Hurt Business on the front. Back in business on the back. They were made. We were told that it was going to happen. Next thing I see, Bobby is with the Street Profits. What happened here?’I get a call from Bruce [Prichard], ‘Somebody should have called you. Sorry. We decided we’re going in a different direction.’

What the f*ck is that? That’s not professional … That’s not good business. I don’t care what anybody thinks. That’s not how you do business. Needless to say, I was very salty about that.”

The Hurt Business was an incredibly dominant faction between 2020 and 2022, consisting of MVP Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander. Yet, despite many regularly considering the group a highlight of WWE’s ThunderDome era, management would seemingly break them up without a long-term plan. And while Lashley remained a featured performer, MVP’s television time would be significantly reduced as Omos’ manager, with Benjamin and Alexander becoming afterthoughts.
