House Of Black Member Responds To Being Overlooked By Pro Wrestling Illustrated

On Tuesday, Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s annual PWI 500 issue was made available, and the yearly debates about where which wrestlers were ranked wrongly commenced on social media. However, this year, there was much less controversy than usual, with most fans accepting that Cody Rhodes deserved the top spot.

Still, for the third year in a row, the magazine has overlooked a prominent wrestler, as after forgetting to include Cash Wheeler in 2022 and Tetsuya Naito in 2023, this year’s glaring omission is Brody King. Subsequently, the House of Black member would acknowledge this himself on X, jokingly telling his followers, “ I’ll try harder next year .”

While the PWI 500 is totally kayfabe, the list is still considered a big deal for many wrestlers, with it even claimed Jonathan Gresham brought up his ranking when arguing with Tony Khan about how he was being booked. Yet, while that seems silly, it does illustrate that talent pays very close attention to a fan-made list that takes more into account win-loss records than actual in-ring ability.
