WWE takes its trademarks very seriously, being sure to lock down everything it can to stop others from cashing in on its intellectual property. Still, it appears the company is less worried about other’s rights, as it was revealed a lawsuit had been filed against them for using the term “ American Nightmare ” in ways not agreed upon. And now, UK-based clothes manufacturer Blcksmth has called WWE out for using a shirt they designed along with their trademarked logo on an action figure of Pete Dunne.

Whether Blcksmth will now decide to seek a settlement from WWE and Mattel remains to be seen. However, it is known that due to having a large bank balance, the company has typically opted to buy its way out of legal trouble, such as when it used “ Yeet ” on merchandise despite it already being trademarked by indie wrestler Kassey Huffman. Additionally, they even settled an antitrust lawsuit with MLW, paying their rivals a staggering $20 million.
