On Wednesday afternoon, Rikishi caused a great deal of concern on social media after asking for prayers for Jimmy Uso on both Instagram and X, even going as far as to use his son’s real name in a hashtag. However, after plenty of speculation online, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has thankfully reported that people within WWE have spoken to Jimmy, and he is fine. It remains unknown why Rikishi would choose to cause so much panic without offering any follow-up explanation, but at least fans can now relax, having initially feared the worst.

“In following up with people in WWE, they say that they’ve spoken to Jimmy Uso, who says he’s fine.”

58-year-old Rikishi has five children, three of whom, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa, are currently working for WWE. Additionally, his son Thamiko has begun wrestling on the indies and seemingly will at least get a tryout with WWE in the coming years. Therefore, Rikishi’s influence on the pro wrestling industry, especially WWE, should never be overlooked, as he is a deserving Hall of Famer himself.
