Jeff Jarrett Suggests Netflix May Have An Ulterior Motive For Releasing “Mr. McMahon” This Wednesday

Wednesday is a massive day for wrestling fans, as in addition to AEW holding their annual Grand Slam episode of Dynamite, Netflix will begin streaming its “Mr. McMahon” docuseries. Yet while most fans consider this to just be a coincidence, during his popular podcast , Jeff Jarrett has suggested there could be an ulterior motive for Netflix’s timing, seemingly implying the date was chosen to take viewers away from AEW’s flagship show.

“What is fascinating about all of this is, as we’ve stated on My World pod, the timing of it, and now being released on a Wednesday. Does Netflix usually release new episodes on Wednesdays? I’m not the biggest Netflix watcher, it’s interesting that they’re releasing it on a Wednesday the timing of it is very, very interesting.”

Whether there is any truth to this conspiracy theory will likely never be revealed. However, given the docuseries has mainstream attention, it would undoubtedly make for perfect counter-programming against such a significant episode of Dynamite. And despite Netflix having no obvious reason for wanting to take fans’ attention away from AEW, as they have agreed on an enormous money deal to stream Raw from 2025, it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility they’d want to make their new business partners happy.
