Thunder Rosa Puts Wrestling Journalist On Blast For Inaccurate Report

Having missed most of 2023 due to a back injury, fans of Thunder Rosa had hoped the AEW star would have an extended spell without incident. Yet, the former NWA World Women’s Champions sadly revealed two weeks ago while appearing on Busted Open that she was again sidelined, this time with a concussion.

Still, in what appeared to be positive news, Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s issue of his Wrestling Observer Newsletter that she had been medically cleared. And while this news delighted fans, it now appears the wrestling journalist was given some false information because Rosa has now taken to X to deny this and in the process, put Meltzer on blast for “ lying about my health .”

“STOP LYING ABOUT MY HEALTH. I’m NOT CLEARED AND WHEN I AM I WILL ANNOUNCE IT. I reserve the right to divulge my medical status.”

64-year-old Meltzer is arguably the world’s most well-known pro wrestling journalist and was heavily featured in Netflix’s “Mr. McMahon” docuseries, which was released earlier this week. However, 2024 hasn’t been his best year, as he has repeatedly been called out for posting inaccurate information, with the most clumsy being that he reported the death of Afa Anoaʻi before he had actually passed.
