Nowadays, pro wrestling is driven by television revenue, and therefore, a TV or streaming deal is essential for any company wishing to compete with WWE, which has multiple highly paid partnerships themselves. And while there had been some speculation from those who hate-watch AEW that Warner Bros. Discovery wasn’t happy with AEW’s ratings, that has now been disapproved, with Variety announcing a new multi-year multimedia rights contract has been signed.

“Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but according to sources, the deal is valued at upwards of $150 million per year when all elements are taken into account. Under the new deal, AEW shows “Dynamite” and “Collision” will remain on TBS and TNT respectively. But for the first time since its launch in 2019, AEW programming will stream live on Max simultaneously for U.S. subscribers and will be available to stream on-demand starting in January 2025.”

Interestingly, the article did not mention Rampage, indicating that the show won’t continue under the new agreement. However, with it speculated that AEW is set to begin airing a brand new program on FOX following the departure of SmackDown, it makes sense not to have too much programming. Additionally, there was no update on AEW’s sister promotion, Ring of Honor, which seemingly suggests it will remain available exclusively via HonorClub .
