Nikki Garcia’s Application For A Restraining Order Reveals Shocking Details About Artem Chingvintsev’s Arrest

Back in August, fans of both pro wrestling and reality television were stunned when it was revealed that Artem Chingvintsev, known for appearing on Dancing With The Stars and being married to Nikki Garcia, had been arrested for domestic violence. And while specific details were sparse at the time, TMZ has now reported that the former WWE star filed a restraining order against the Russian dancer on Monday that a judge signed off, and in the process, disclosed startling information regarding the incident that led to his arrest.

“Artem went off on Nikki over how their 4-year-old son’s English muffin should be toasted, screaming that she made their son a ‘picky eater.’ Nikki says she was so overwhelmed by Artem yelling at her, she threw Matteo’s toddler-sized 7 shoes toward Artem. She says the shoes hit his leg, but were so light they couldn’t have hurt him.

She says Artem grabbed Matteo and ran with him upstairs, as the boy screamed, ‘Mommy! Mommy!’ She says as she tried to get in the room, Artem opened the door and tackled her to the ground outside Matteo’s room. She says he grabbed her arms and held her on the ground which felt like 30 seconds. The police came and Matteo told them, ‘Daddy hurt my hand.'”

At one time, it appeared Garcia, previously known as Nikki Bella in WWE, was going to marry John Cena because they had been dating for several years. However, in her book, Garcia revealed that they decided to separate because they “struggled to align” their life goals. Subsequently, Garcia began dating her former Dancing With The Stars professional partner, Chigvintsev, and eventually started a family together, marrying two years later. Still, what appeared to be a perfect marriage and family has now been thrown into turmoil, disappointing fans who were invested in the relationship after watching it on reality television.
