Drew McIntyre Comments On The Kayfabe Breaking Photo Of Himself With CM Punk

Arguably, WWE’s top feud at the moment is between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk, with a big part of this being the fact fiction has been blurred with reality, resulting in fans believing the pair genuinely dislike each other. However, this was called into question when a photograph leaked in August of the pair standing alongside each other before a show, resulting in fans questioning how authentic the hostility was. And now, during an interview with FOXNews.com , McIntyre has addressed this.

“I remember there was some picture that came out online recently, and it was the big talk of the internet because Punk and I were close to each other during the day and it was, ‘Oh my God, they really don’t dislike each other.’ I was like, yeah, you frickin’ idiots.

You don’t go to your office job and have to stand beside the guy you don’t like in your office occasionally? Just because someone snapped a picture of that moment because we’re dealing with a situation you have to deal with in your profession, even if you can’t stand the pr*ck.”

Punk and McIntyre have been feuding ever since the Scottish wrestler legitimately injured the former AEW star during the men’s Royal Rumble match with a Future Shock DDT. Yet, while this was obviously an accident, WWE would look to turn a negative into a positive and has had the duo feuding ever since. Currently, the pair have split victories, with McIntyre winning at SummerSlam and Punk at Bash in Berlin, with the blowoff set to take place in a Hell In A Cell match at Bad Blood.
