Goldberg’s WWE Return At Bad Blood Is Outdoing The Rock’s On YouTube

Bad Blood was a very eventful show, as apart from CM Punk’s feud with Drew McIntyre seemingly ending, both Goldberg and The Rock would make surprise appearances. The former WCW star would appear first, sat in the crowd, and, after being insulted by the Austrian, declare, “You’re next, boy,” teasing a future match. This would then be followed by The Rock’s return at the conclusion of the premium live event, where, without speaking, he let Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes know he was still on the scene.

However, while most would expect The Rock’s return to be a bigger deal due to his Hollywood status, as of writing, YouTube views indicate more interest in Goldberg’s, with over 140,000 views between the two videos in Goldberg’s favor. Of course, YouTube views aren’t the be-all and end-all, but they demonstrate there is significant interest in a match between Goldberg and Gunther.

According to 57-year-old Goldberg, he had been promised a retirement match by Vince McMahon in exchange for coming back to WWE and putting over Roman Reigns while still recovering from illness. Therefore when this didn’t happen, Goldberg would go as far as to call McMahon “a piece of sh*t” during an interview, and seemingly confirming his relationship with WWE was over. Still, it now looks like Triple H may deliver on McMahon’s promise, which is very unexpected considering there was once real-life animosity between the pair.
