Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit are not happy with their former record label. Billboard reported on Tuesday that Durst and the band filed suit against Universal Music Group to the tune of $200 million. Lawyers for Durst claim that the singer has “not seen a dime in royalties” for decades.

“UMG’s creation of such a system, while holding itself out as a company that prides itself on investing in and protecting its artists, makes plaintiffs’ discovery of UMG’s scheme all the more appalling and unsettling,” Durst’s lawyers wrote, while also adding that “possibly hundreds of other artists” have “unfairly had their royalties wrongfully withheld for years.”

Limp Bizkit sold millions of albums for UMG, yet the singer’s suit claims the band never received any royalties from the company. The band’s music also garners millions of streaming users and saw a big uptick with their recent return. “Despite this tremendous ‘come back,’ the band had still not been paid a single cent by UMG in any royalties until taking action against UMG, leading one to ask how on earth that could possibly be true,” Durst’s lawyers write. The lawsuit also points out potential “fraudulent accounting practices.”

According to Billboard: “A spokesman for UMG did not immediately return a request for comment on Tuesday.”
