Daniel Garcia Confirms His Long-Term Future

A few months ago, it was reported that Daniel Garcia’s AEW contract expires in October, and at the time, he hadn’t decided whether to re-sign or explore his options elsewhere. Therefore, there has recently been a great deal of speculation regarding where his long-term future would be, with it believed WWE was very interested in him. However, during this week’s episode of Dynamite, the 26-year-old would announce he was staying with AEW because it’s “ where the best wrestler .”

Despite having worked matches for WWE, it was AEW that signed Garcia to a full-time contract after he was impressed during their now-defunct YouTube show Dark. From there, he would join the Jericho Appreciation Society, which saw him become regularly featured on television, leading to a storyline about him potentially switching allegiances and joining the Blackpool Combat Club. Yet, while many fans thought he was more suited to the other stable, he remained part of Jericho’s faction, going on to win the ROH Pure Championship from Wheeler Yuta.
