Dr. Britt Baker Shares Health Update After Missing Dynamite

Prior to this week’s episode of Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that Dr. Britt Baker’s match with Willow Nightingale was off due to the former AEW Women’s World Champion being unwell. This would subsequntly cause fans to worry, especially with Baker having previously missed a significant amount of time due to suffering a ministroke. However, Baker has now taken to X to put minds at ease, revealing that she was diagnosed with strep throat, but after taking antibiotics and receiving an IV, she is getting better.

33-year-old Baker broke into the business in 2015, and the following year, she would appear on Raw, losing a squash match to Nia Jax. From there, she would gain further experience on the indies and, subsequntly, would be the first woman signed by Khan for AEW. And while she wasn’t initially presented as the top female star of the promotion, over time, due to her promo work and in-ring ability, she established herself as a genuine star that AEW could build around.
