While in the mainstream, Jesse Ventura is best known for being the 38th Governor of Minnesota and appearing in major Hollywood movies like “Predator” and “The Running Man,” wrestling fans still remember him best for his time with WWE and WCW. Yet, the WWE Hall of Famer has had very little to do with the business in recent years, and it is very well known that he and Vince McMahon had a prickly relationship.

However, with McMahon now out of power, it was reported that Ventura was in talks over a potential Legends contract. And now, confirming the deal is done, the 73-year-old has announced via his Substack that “ hell has frozen over ,” and it’s “ it’s only right that I come back to wrestling in the twilight of my life.

“I thought it was time that maybe I tell everybody, indeed, hell has frozen over. Yes, hell has frozen over. I’m back in the WWE as a legend. I’ve gone through negotiations, we’ve reached agreements, and I feel very good about it. You know, I’m 73 years old now, and my life has now gone full circle.

I got my first fame and fortune in the wrestling industry. I went on to do many, many other things above and beyond wrestling or outside of wrestling after I left it. And now maybe it’s only right that I come back to wrestling in the twilight of my life and finish off with what I always was.”

Ventura broke into the business in 1975 after spending six years in the Navy and would notably work for Central States Wrestling, Pacific Northwest Wrestling, and New Japan. Yet, his WWE career saw him elevated to another level, with him sharing a ring with legendary names, including Andre The Giant, Randy Savage, The Junkyard Dog, and Hulk Hogan, leading to him becoming one of the most popular color commentators ever.

Im ok with him getting a little camera time, but I hope they don't plan on him stepping inside a ring and actually having a match, it's gonna be awful.
