Attitude Era Star Signs WWE Legends Contract
While WWE has had several major names like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and The Undertaker signed to Legends Contracts for years, recently, they have been inking deals with those who weren’t as notable but still have name recognition. This has subsequently seen talents like Mosh, Thrasher, and, most recently, Victoria agree to license their name and likenesses to the company. And now, multiple sources have reported that Jacqueline Moore, also known as Ms. Texas, Sweet Georgia Brown, and simply Jacqueline, has also agreed to return to the WWE family. 60-year-old Moore broke into the business after being a fan of the Von Erich’s and initially worked for the USWA and FMW. Then, once she had established herself as one of the top female performers in the world, she looked set to join WWE as Jeff Jarrett’s manager, although despite appearing in vignettes, she would be dropped. Still, she wouldn’t give up her dream of working for WWE, and after joining Smoky Mountain Wrestling and then WCW, she would have a six-year run with Vince McMahon’s company, memorable working with Sable and Chavo Guerrero Jr. during this time.
Kevin Kelly’s Cold Comment About Melanie Pillman Resurfaces
Kevin Kelly has been in the news over the last few days after it was announced that he and The Boys were suing AEW due to being let go earlier this year. Subsequently, this has led to fans looking into the commentator’s past to learn more about him, and in the process, @IANdrewDiceClay has uncovered an old podcast interview where he discusses WWE in the ’90s and the topic of Melanie Pillman’s infamous interview is discussed. Yet, while most people have always been sympathetic towards Brian Pillman’s widow, in the clip shared on X, Kelly would bluntly say, “Your husband is dead. Go get a job.” Melanie Pillman, who herself died two years ago, was involved with the Ultimate Warrior at one point in time but would later begin dating Pillman, leading to them marrying in March 1993. From there, they would go on to have two children together, Brian Zachary and Skylar King, who added to the four daughters they’d had in previous relationships. However, it is believed that their marriage was on borrowed time because following Pillman’s tragic passing in October 1997, it came out they shared a home but had begun sleeping separately.
Corey Taylor’s Son Explains Whether Slipknot Helps His Band Vended
Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan are heavy metal legends at this point for their lengthy success via Slipknot and beyond. Taylor and Crahan’s sons play together in their own outfit, Vended, and the band’s frontman Griffin Taylor spoke to Blabbermouth about whether or not their famous fathers pass along any advice. “Kind of,” he said. “Our dads didn’t really teach us or mentor us over all of this stuff. They pretty much gave us the tools in order to do something, but they left us to do it for ourselves. They weren’t going to do it for us.” He continued: “Overall, wanting to be independent was our idea. It was something we’ve always been talking about and always been in our heads: ‘We don’t want to be owned by somebody. We don’t want to be somebody else’s circus.’ We want to be our own circus with partnerships.” “There’s no string-pulling here. There’s no, ‘Oh. Let me do something.’ It’s our job to take matters into our own hands. They don’t really do something for us other than give advice when we ask for it. It’s not like they’re throwing advice at us every other f*cking day of the week.”
KISS’ Gene Simmons Discusses “The Worst Record” He’s Ever Made
In a recent interview with Classic Rock, legendary KISS bassist Gene Simmons was asked a variety of questions for the magazine’s “Soundtrack Of My Life” feature. One of the topics is “The worst record I’ve made,” and to no real surprise, Simmons cited KISS’ “Music From ‘The Elder,’” and he also mentioned the band’s ill-fated attempt at grunge, “Carnival Of Souls.” “I take the blame for it because it was my idea,” Simmons said of “The Elder.” “I remember telling producer Bob Ezrin that I was writing a movie script, we were making a concept album based on that, and he...
Tony Khan Says He Is Appalled By Comments Made About Jim Ross
One of the biggest stories in pro wrestling right now is the lawsuit filed by Kevin Kelly and The Boys against AEW, Tony Khan, and Ian Riccaboni after the trio were let go earlier this year. And while they obviously feel they have a case, many don’t think they will be successful, with AEW commentator Jim Ross going as far as to call the lawsuit “frivolous” on his podcast. Seemingly, this would touch a nerve with their attorney, Stephen P. New, who is best known for representing Jim Cornette and CM Punk, as he has subsequently taken time out of his day to reply to the WWE Hall...
MVP Clarifies His Recent Negative Comments About Triple H
Following his WWE departure, MVP made headlines after revealing his latest run with the company didn’t end on good terms, going as far as to call his former boss Triple H a “coward and a liar” while replying to Instagram comments. However, thanks to social media, this somehow resulted in it being reported that Triple H was racist. And now, while participating in a virtual autograph signing, MVP has addressed these reports, clarifying that he never said this, although he did suggest he feels Triple H doesn’t book black wrestlers as strongly as he could. 50-year-old MVP returned to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2020 Royal Rumble match and subsequently wrestled Rey Mysterio the following night on Raw. At the time, it was believed this would be his in-ring swansong, but he would actually end up being re-hired following favorable fan feedback. From there, he formed The Hurt Business stable, which, for a time, was one of the highlights of WWE television, although they would disband far sooner than most fans wanted.
New Linkin Park Singer Responds To Criticism Over Past Support Of Disgraced Actor
Almost as soon as Linkin Park announced Dead Sara singer Emily Armstrong as their new vocalist, a wave of criticism flooded the internet over her past ties to Scientology and her support of disgraced former “That ‘70s Show” star Danny Masterson. The actor is serving a 30 years to life in prison sentence. Armstrong responded to her past connection to Masterson in an Instagram story post. “Hi, I’m Emily,” she wrote. “I’m new to so many of you, and I wanted to clear the air about something that happened a while back.” “Several years ago, I was asked to support...
Orange Cassidy Reveals How He Got “Two Very Expensive Theme Songs”
Tony Khan is no stranger to paying for the rights to well known songs. He’s done it many times since AEW’s inception, and Orange Cassidy has benefitted twice from his boss’ willingness to spend on classic tunes. During an appearance on Q101 in Chicago, the popular AEW star revealed how he was able to get both “Jane” by Jefferson Starship and “Where Is My Mind” by The Pixies. “I guess I can get into it a little bit,” he said. “Before I was on AEW, I was coming out to ‘Jane’ by Jefferson Starship, and I just loved it because...
New Linkin Park Singer Blasted For Past Ties To Controversial Organization
Linkin Park named a new vocalist on Thursday tapping Dead Sara singer Emily Armstrong as a replacement for the late Chester Bennington. The announcement — which also included a new single, tour dates and album plans — was generally praised by fans. However, not all were happy with the pick, especially Chrissie Carnell-Bixlter, wife of Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta and At The Drive In. Armstrong allegedly has previous ties to the Church of Scientology and was also apparently a friend of actor Danny Masterson. The former “That ’70s Show” star is currently serving 30 years to life in prison after...
Mina Shirakawa Shows Off More Than Just Her Championship Belts In Latest Photo Drop
Mina Shirakawa is one of Stardom’s biggest stars, having held multiple championships in the promotion. However, thanks to being involved in former tag partner Mariah May’s storyline with Toni Storm, Shirakawa has also received television international television exposure via AEW and looks set to become a star in the United States if she wants to. And now, showing it isn’t only her in-ring ability that has made her popular, the Japanese wrestler has wowed her Instagram followers with a photo drop that shows off more than just her championship belts. 36-year-old Mina Shirakawa previously worked as both a model and wedding planner but decided to pursue pro wrestling after being inspired by Jushin Liger. This would see her debut in 2018 in front of just 350 fans. Yet, thanks to her good looks and natural talent, she would soon begin getting booked for larger promotions like TJPW and DDT Pro. Subsequently, this led her to become a regular for Stardom, where she has worked with names like Giulia, Momo Watanabe, and the sadly passed Hana Kimura.
Pure Fusion Collective Member Signs New WWE Contract
So far this year, WWE has been locked in many talents, with Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, Asuka, and Natalya being just some of the names to ink new deals. And now it has been reported by Fightful Select that Shayna Baszler, who is currently part of the Pure Fusion Collective on Raw, has also signed a new deal. Exactly how long the former MMA fighter has committed to the company wasn’t confirmed, although it was said to be a multi-year deal. 44-year-old Baszler started her mixed martial arts training in 2006 and was recruited by the UFC 2013 for The Ultimate Fighter in 2013. However, her career in the Octagon would be a letdown, and she instead pursued pro wrestling. Initially, she competed on the indies, but given her legitimate background and impressive matches, she joined WWE in 2017. From there, she won the NXT Women’s Championship twice, and while she wouldn’t meet the same heights on the main roster, she did have a memorable feud with real-life friend Ronda Rousey.
Former WWE Talents Announce Pregnancy
In June 2023, then-WWE talents Riddick Moss and Emma announced on social media that they were engaged to be married. Subsequently, the loved-up couple would tie the knot at Kualoa Ranch in Hawaii, which was chosen to be the venue because it is between Melbourne, Australia, and Minnesota, where Emma and Moss grew up. And now, in even more joyful news, they have announced via a joint Instagram post they are going to be parents. WWE released both wrestlers in September 2023, and since then, Moss, real name Mike Rallis, nor Emma, real name Tenille Dashwood, has been very active on the indies, wrestling only three matches between them. Seemingly, this indicates the pair wisely saved their money, although, with another mouth to feed, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Moss begin to accept more bookings.
Tony Schiavone Discloses The Personal Reason He Won’t Watch Netflix’s “Mr. McMahon” Docuseries
Later this month, Netflix’s highly anticipated “Mr. McMahon” docuseries will begin streaming. Yet while it’s expected to be the talk of the wrestling world, it’s been confirmed that at least one of McMahon’s former talents won’t be watching. This is because Tony Schiavone, who briefly worked for WWE has revealed on his podcast that because sportswriter Bill Simmons is an executive producer, he won’t be watching, saying that Simmons “said some terrible things” about his work in WCW. As the 66-year-old AEW commentator didn’t disclose Simmons’ past remarks about him, it’s hard to judge whether he is overreacting. However, a Google search reveals that Simmons has previously criticized Schiavone for overhyping WCW pay-per-views, which, to be fair, was his job at the time.
The Musician Suing Cody Rhodes Fires Back At Wrestling Fans Who Claim Lawsuit Is A Cash Grab
On Thursday, news broke that Wesley Eisold of the punk rock group American Nightmare had filed a lawsuit against Cody Rhodes, WWE, and Fanatics for breach of contract and trademark infringement. According to legal documents, the musician registered the trademark in 2016, and once Rhodes wanted to use it himself, he paid Eisold $30,000 and agreed his name or image would be included on merchandise to ensure there was no confusion for fans. However, Eisold claims that WWE and Fanatics failed to do this, and thus, he is seeking damages. And now, after some fans began attacking him online and accusing him of trying to extort money, he has taken to social media platform X himself and fired back by calling them “f*cking dolts.” Second-generation wrestler Cody Rhodes started using the name “American Nightmare” as a play on his father Dusty Rhodes’ well-known nickname “American Dream” after being encouraged by New Japan. Yet, it should be noted that his older brother Dustin actually used it himself in the ’90s and has previously stated he signed the rights over to Cody, seemingly indicating this legal situation is anything but straightforward.

TNA Teases Debut Of Former SmackDown Talent (w/Video)
Xia Li looked set for big things in WWE when she first signed, although after failing to establish herself, she was let go last April. Yet, despite this setback, the Chinse talent is continuing to pursue a career in pro wrestling, having recently worked a handful of indie dates under the ring name Zhao Xia. And now, during this week’s episode of Impact, TNA has teased her debut via a vignette, which has also been shared on social media. 36-year-old Li broke into the business in 2017, having been scouted by WWE in her home country. Subsequently, she competed in the inaugural Mae Young Classic and, after eight months of additional training, began working on NXT house shows against names like Shayna Baszler, Rhea Ripley, and Aliyah. From there, she notably entered the 2019 women’s Royal Rumble match and, after proving herself as part of NXT, was called up to SmackDown due to the 2021 draft. Still, her time on the main roster was unremarkable, resulting in few fans being shocked when she was released.
Linkin Park Names New Singer & Releases New Single/Video
Linkin Park shared their first new music in seven years on Thursday and announced their new lineup featuring singer Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara and drummer Colin Brittain. The band also shared that their first new album since 2017, “From Zero,” will arrive on November 15. “Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero,” said band co-founder Mike Shinoda. “This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future — embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life. It was made with a...
Lawsuit Filed Against Cody Rhodes & WWE
Trademarks are huge business nowadays, with millions of dollars potentially at stake. And now it has been reported by PostWrestling.com that on Wednesday, Wesley Eisold of the punk rock group American Nightmare filed a lawsuit against Cody Rhodes, WWE, and Fanatics on multiple grounds, including trademark infringement and breach of contract. Records indicate the musician registered “American Nightmare” for use in music, clothing, and entertainment services back in 2016. However, he subsequently agreed Rhodes could use it in pro wrestling in exchange for $30,000 and that Rhodes’ name or image also featured on merchandise. Yet it’s claimed WWE and Fantantics have failed to do this, resulting in fans confusing the wrestler and the band. 39-year-old Rhodes started using the name “American Nightmare” as a play on his father Dusty Rhodes’ legendary nickname “American Dream” after being encouraged to use the moniker in New Japan. Still, it should be noted that before Rhodes ever adopted the name, his older brother Dustin used it in the 90s while working for WCW. Although, whether this prior usage by a family member will have any bearing on the lawsuit remains to be seen.
Rhea Ripley Addresses The “Delusional Stories” Being Spread About Her
Rhea Ripley is one of WWE’s top stars, and her storyline with Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio is currently a highlight on WWE television. However, some so-called fans have recently been sharing the ridiculous and unfounded rumor on social media that she only has her spot due to having an affair with Triple H. And now, having seemingly been made aware of the malicious falsehoods being spread about her, the Australian has taken to X herself, calling it “obscene trash” and telling the rumor-mongers to “touch some grass.“ There is absolutely no indication that Ripley’s push has come from anything other than her own hard work and ability to get herself over. Therefore, why anyone would cast aspersions against her character is unclear. Still, as social media allows people to hide behind anonymity, it seems unlikely anyone will face any consequences for these “delusional stories,” as Ripley calls them.
Bryan Danielson Reveals He Recently Received A Legal Letter From WWE
When Bryan Danielson left WWE, he promised the company that he would respect their intellectual property and wouldn’t use his iconic “Yes! Yes! Yes!” catchphrase and gesture on AEW television. Still, with the trademark recently becoming available, it became known that the current AEW World Champion had filed to take ownership of it after being made aware of its availability. However, it seems he may have hit a roadblock in his attempt, as during a recent interview with Luke James Chats, he revealed WWE contacted him with “some sort of legal letter,” although noted it wasn’t a cease and desist. Danielson didn’t actually create the “Yes!” chant, as former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez introduced it to fans during his entrance to the Octagon. Yet, unlike with Danielson, fans wouldn’t chant it with him, which is the significant difference between the two versions. Still, it now seems likely that his application will end up canceled unless he wants to get involved in an expensive legal battle with his former employer.
