Jasper County Deputies are investigating a shoot from Wednesday night

Jasper County, MO – Jasper County authorities are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital on Wednesday near Webb City. Investigators say they've identified the shooter, who has been cooperating with law enforcement. Preliminary investigation indicates the shot was fired in self-defense.

Pittsburg, KS – The Kansas Board of Regents approved a tuition and fee increase of 3.5% for undergraduates attending Pitt State. That comes out to an additional $107 per semester. Earlier this year the school announced the great gorilla scholarship program, which awards up to four thousand dollars per year for up to four years.

Miami, OK – The Peoria tribe housing authority broke ground yesterday for 15 new low-income houses in Miami, Oklahoma. This comes after the housing authority received a 3-million-dollar grant from the federal government.   Eight single-bedroom homes and 7 two-bedroom homes will be constructed. Construction will begin in the coming months.
