    MoDOT seeks public input on transportation needs

    MISSOURI (KOAM) -- The Missouri Department of Transportation is inviting the public to discuss the transportation needs in their area.

    According to MoDOT, Missouri's transportation system includes 33,811 miles of roads and 10,392 bridges and culverts, which is one of the largest of any state.

    MoDOT says the public is invited to review a list made by MoDOT to identify and outline various needs for the system. Two meetings will be held to discuss the draft:

    • Swede Lane 5102, Webb City, MO 64870
      • July 31, 2024, from 10 am to 12 Noon at the Joplin Public Safety Training Facility
    • 4653 South Campbell Avenue, Springfield, MO 65810
      • August 14, 2024, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at The Library Center

    MoDOT says the presentation materials and comment forms are also available online here through Friday, August 23, 2024.
