HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) say KY 871 in Union County has joined the growing number of state roads blocked by flood water from the rising Ohio River.
KYTC officials say another Union County roadway, KY 1508, is currently open but could possibly become blocked if water levels continue to rise.
Officials say the roads that have reopened are:
- Henderson County
- KY 1557 from the 2 to 3-mm.
KYTC says these roads are currently blocked by water:
- Daviess County
- KY 762 from the 0 to 1-mm.
- KY 298 from the 2 and 3-mm
- Hancock County
- KY 334 from the 11.3 mm at Muddy Gut Road to the 14.5-mm.
- Henderson County
- KY 136 from the 0 to 5-mm
- KY 268 from 0 to 1-mm
- KY 3522 at Ellis Park
- Union County
- KY 130 from the 15.7 to 16-mm
- KY 667 from the 1 to 11-mm
- KY 871 from the 3.5 to 5.6-mm
- KY 1452 from the 0 to 1.9-mm
- KY 1637 from the 0 to 2.9-mm

KYTC notes that KY 1557 in Henderson County has now reopened to traffic.

The KYTC says KY 1557 between the 2 and 3-mile makers has now been closed due to flooding.
