New superintendent of Union County Public Schools named

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Dr. Terra Hancock was selected on Wednesday night as the new superintendent of Union County Public Schools.

Hancock has served the school system for 19 years as a teacher, counselor, principal and administrator. She currently serves as the assistant superintendent of secondary instruction.

The Board of Education gave Hancock a four-year contract, which begins July 1. Current superintendent Patricia Sheffer is retiring after 13 years.
