Muddy Gut Creek Bridge in Hancock Co. closed

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announced on May 13 that the KY 334 bridge over Muddy Gut Creek in Hancock County would be closed indefinitely, resulting in a closure of KY 334 between the 11.3 and 13.2 mile marks.

The KYTC says transportation engineers are currently assessing the situation to determine next steps. Motorists needing to access the area can detour around the bridge by utilizing Muddy Gut Road.

Officials say appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers and personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
