“Evansville Watch” bill charges apparent mislabeling

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Some Evansville residents have reported odd charges on their bank account listed as being made to a local Facebook page.

Officials with the Facebook page Evansville Watch tell Eyewitness News they have been contacted by several followers about the charges and have worked the followers to determine that the charges were actually from Evansville Water and Sewer Utility. They said the charges were automatic water bill payments.

Evansville Watch officials say they will never take money from anyone’s account. However, EWSU officials say they have not been contacted by an customers about the charges, but they are looking into the situation.
