Mesker Park announces new camel

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Bactrian camel named Wednesday at Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden now has a new companion named Friday.

Officials with the zoo say the second camel just turned 1-year-old and is about a third of Wednesday’s size. They said the introduction of Friday to Wednesday took place a few weeks ago, and was successful.

The two can be found in the Asia loop across from the tiger habitat.
