HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – The Evansville Police Department is letting people know that a post about a missing child from Evansville is fake.

EPD posted on their social media that the post making the rounds is about a child diagnosed with autism, needing daily medications.

EPD assures that the child is not missing and according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, there is not an active missing or Amber Alert on the child.

We appreciate how caring our community is and thank you for your concern,” EPD said. “Also, thank you for following our EPD page because we will always post urgent information, including missing endangered children, here on our department Facebook page.”
