    Foster homes needed after storms close Spencer County animal shelter

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Overnight storms caused a power outage at It Takes a Village in Spencer County. Now all those animals have been forced to go to It Takes a Village’s Evansville location.

    It Takes a Village took to Facebook to announce the outage at its Spencer County location. They say the outage resulted in the need for temporary foster care for around 17 dogs and 24 cats.

    Officials with the shelter say allot of cats have been put in foster homes, but they still have allot of dogs.

    It Takes a Village in Evansville will be open Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m..
