    Perrigo recalls 16,000 cans of baby formula

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — More than 16,000 cans of baby formula are being recalled due to levels of Vitamin D above the maximum level permitted.

    T he FDA says the Perrigo company formulas were sold in several states, including Indiana.

    Health officials say short-term consumption is unlikely to cause adverse health effects for the vast majority of infants. In a small group of babies, it could result in health complications.

    Parents should contact their healthcare provider if they have any concerns.
