Man caught by Evansville Police K9 sentenced back to prison

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A man caught on camera being captured by an Evansville Police K9 was sentenced back to prison.

Shawn Grigsby was sentenced to one year in Vanderburgh County Circuit Court.

Grigsby was on parole for a prior offense before stealing the truck. Video captured from Eyewitness News saw him jumping out of the truck and trying to run before being taken down by an Evansville Police K9.

Court officials state the Indiana Department of Corrections parole board will determine how much more time will be added

Grigsby was originally supposed to be released in 2030.
