Local artist shows off her stitches in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) — Red Rooster Stitchery is holding a trunk show Thursday through August 24 for local artist Penny Macleod.

More than 200 of her embroidered canvasses are on the walls for all to see.

Macleod visited the store today and was able to meet some of the shoppers.

Macleod started embroidering eight years ago with the help of Peggy Norman, the owner of Red Rooster Stitchery and keeper of the threads for 42 years.
