Community supports Nash family returning to Henderson

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Some of Lucy Nash’s family returned from Indianapolis.

They arrived at Tomblinson Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m.

Lucy collapsed during the first day of school at recess at Cairo Elementary. She was declared brain dead a short time after arriving at Indy.

While the community and the Nash family mourns Lucy’s passing, we’re told that some of her organs were able to be donated. Her father, Ryan Nash, tells us that both of Lucy’s kidneys and her liver found a match. A partial autopsy on Lucy’s heart was also done, but results are not expected to be back for about a month.
