HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – One of the suspects in a gas station shooting on the corner of South Green River Road and Covert Avenue has been sentenced.

It happened in June at the “On the Fly” gas station where three people were injured.

Otis Rankin turned himself in on July 3, and on Friday, he was sentenced to 88 days in jail. He will receive credit for 44 days served.

According to court records, Rankin plead guilty to Criminal Recklessness. He had two counts of Attempted Murder against him, but because of the deal, those were dismissed.

Another suspect, Luther Lawton Jr., is slated to have a review hearing next month.
