    Kentucky State Fair announces largest watermelon & pumpkin

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Kentucky’s 2024 Largest Watermelon and Pumpkin Contest ended Saturday and the results are in.

    Dwight Slone of Floyd County was awarded with the largest pumpkin. His pumpkin weighed in at 1,133 pounds.

    Frank Mudd of Meade County was awarded with the largest watermelon. His watermelon weighed in at 233.2 pounds.
