HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office pens a message to the public warning them of a phone call scammer identifying themselves as the police.

WCSO says a phone call scammer has recently been going around, allegedly identifying themselves as a Warrick County Deputy Sheriff.

Authorities say to take time to verify any information given during the call, including verifying phone numbers if a person is identifying themselves from a certain company.

WCSO is asking those that believe have been victims of a scam to call the non-emergency line at (812) 897-1200.
