    Jayden Raney wins U17 gold medal one year after twin brother

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A local wrestler will be returning to Union County as a world champion gold medalist.

    Jayden Raney won the gold for Team USA at the U17 Greco-Roman wrestling World Championships in Jordan on Tuesday. The Morganfield native won 7-5 over Alpamys Bolatuly of Kazakhstan to become the 55 kg world champion.

    His twin brother, Jordyn was last year’s world champion in Istanbul, Turkey.
