    WSNC Amateur Hour tryouts begin today

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Tryouts for the West Side Nut Club Amateur Hour will kick off today at the Mater Dei High School Auditorium.

    Tryouts will begin at 5:30 p.m. today and will see as many auditions as possible. Tryouts will then continue on August 22 at 5:30 p.m. Contestants will be able to compete in 4 Divisions: Junior, Middle School, Senior and College for an opportunity to perform live on Franklin Street during this year’s Fall Festival.

    Reitz Panthers eager for kickoff in upcoming season

    A contestant may only enter the competition twice, once as a soloist and once as a group member. Solo acts will have their division determined by their grade level, while group acts will have their division determined the age of the oldest member of the group.

    During the tryout process contestants must furnish all live or recorded accompaniment, and any type of talent is acceptable. Contestants should also perform in full costume during the tryout process. All acts will be limited to a 5 minute performance time.
