Lane restrictions on Twin Bridges to be extended

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Lane restrictions on the Twin Bridges planned for Thursday will be extended until 5 p.m..

Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet say inspectors saw issues with a beam during an inspection on Wednesday. The restrictions were originally planned for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Officials say extending the lane restriction by three hours will allow the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to make repairs without adding additional days to the planned work schedule for the bridge.

The inspection of the bridge is scheduled to continue through Saturday at 2 p.m.
