    Goodwill hosts Grand Opening for new store

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- After a lengthy construction period, the old Sears store at Washington Square mall is set to re-open with a new purpose.

    Owensboro celebrates International Overdose Awareness Day at Moreland Park

    The building has been transformed into a Goodwill store and a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 8:45 this morning, ahead of the store’s Grand Opening. Vendors and food trucks will be on hand at the new Goodwill location at 5001 Washington Avenue to celebrate the event from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. today. On Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the Evansville Farmers Market will also be held at the new location.

    Another facility, the Excel Center Evansville Southeast is also located at the building and offers a second chance for Indiana adults to earn a Core 40 High School diploma for free.
