HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Three people have been charged with Organized Theft after allegedly stealing 73 items from an Evansville Walmart without paying for them.

According to an affidavit, officers were dispatched for a theft report, and the caller said two females and a male were in the AP office for shoplifting.

The caller claimed all three people, Susana Calderon-Perez, Maria Rosario and Alvie Mendiola Staton, took part in the thefts where Calderon-Perez would scan but not all items in the cart and Staton would place bags of paid items over the unpaid ones. The caller also explained Rosario would act as a lookout at the scanner and placing bags of paid items over the unpaid items.

The total value of the unpaid items came out to $557.08.

All three people were taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.
