PETERSBURG, Ind. (WEHT)- More than $34,000 in federal grant money will be going towards technology upgrades and signage at voting sights in Pike County.

Road closure planned for State Road 68 in Gibson Co.

The County applied for the grant, which is part of approximately $1 million in Federal Grant Funding across the state, through the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office. Secretary of State, Diego Morales was at the County Clerk’s Office in Petersburg on Thursday to hand deliver the money.

Election Officials say that a website where voters can sign up for text message updates about where and when to vote in Pike County is in the works and will be usable by the end of the month.
