Man arrested for alleged assault on hospital nurses

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – An Evansville man is in jail after allegedly assaulting hospital nurses.

According to an affidavit, Evansville Police officers were dispatched to Deaconess Cross Pointe Monday afternoon for an assault in progress.

Officers were reportedly told that a patient had assaulted a nurse.

Arriving officers reportedly found a nurse on the ground. Also on the ground was a male, later identified as Zeque Curry, restrained.

Curry claimed the nurses locked him out of his room and threw a chair against the wall. The affidavit states Curry had no marks of injury on him, and his story reportedly changed a few times.

Two other members of the nursing staff claimed Curry and the nurse were having a physical altercation where the chair was taken away from Curry. They further explain Curry started swinging, hitting the other two staff members.

Curry is being charged with Criminal Mischief and multiple counts of Battery.
