    Three Mount Vernon women charged with dealing meth

    HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Three Mount Vernon, Indiana women are being charged with dealing meth in Posey County.

    Posey County Prosecutor officials state on Monday, Tabetha Gross, Sharon Roach and Megan Newman were arrested for their alleged roles in the possession and delivery of more than 190 grams of meth.

    According to an affidavit, officers with the Mt. Vernon Police Department surveilled and conducted a traffic stop of two separate vehicles occupied by Gross, Roach and Newman.

    During a search, that was when authorities found the meth. Officials say some of the meth tested positive for the presence of fentanyl.

    Authorities state during an interview, Gross said she purchased the large quantity of meth from a source in St. Louis, Missouri and delivered it to Roach and Newman’s vehicle in Posey County.

    The following charges were filed:

    Tabetha D. Gross – Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance – Controlled Substances.

    Sharon L. Roach – Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Narcotic Drug.

    Megan T. Newman – Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Narcotic Drug Maintaining a Common Nuisance – Controlled Substances

    All three women are being held in the Posey County Jail without bond. All are scheduled to appear in court, and if convicted, each person faces ten to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
