Curious George: Spencer County EMS goes on monkey rescue mission

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A medical run turns into a monkey rescue mission for EMS in Spencer County.

Luce Fire Territory, Spencer County EMS and Spencer County Sheriff’s Department were called on a medical run and discover the patient’s monkey had gotten loose.

The monkey was said to have scaled the building and could not get down on its own.

Rescue training tactics were utilized to safely bring the monkey down, which was taken into custody by deputies and kept safe while the owner was tended to by EMS.
