Legacy Church officially closes doors in Owensboro

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Leaders of Legacy Church in Owensboro have announced their intent to close the doors of the organization.

Leaders, Spencer and Molly Phillips, took to Facebook to announce the conclusion of Legacy Church as an organization .

In 2018, Legacy Church acquired the site of the previous Malco Theaters on 5333 Frederica Street.

During this time, they say the church will not hold its usual gatherings.

“During this time, we are sensing a profound call from the Lord to pause and seek His guidance as we consider the next steps in our journey,” says the Phillips. “In the meantime, we want to encourage and release you to serve and connect with other communities.”

At this time, Legacy Church’s official website has been taken down.

The announcement also says to follow Spencer Phillips for any updates or further information during this time.

They spent exorbitant amounts of money on creating this place. A true church doesn't need to spend that match for their followers. This is just an opinion.
