OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — The Daviess County Coroner says the body found Tuesday belongs to 34-year-old Cain Amos.

Although Amos has been identified, detectives say they are still working to figure out what happened in the moments leading up to Amos’ body being discovered.

Owensboro Police say they are awaiting the results of an autopsy conducted at the Kentucky Medical Examiners office in Louisville.

In their first announcement released on Tuesday, detectives said they did not suspect any foul play in the investigation. Law enforcement also reiterated their belief that there is no foul play involved in their most recent update.

In the meantime, they are asking the people in the area to share information they may have about what Amos may have been doing between the hours of 6 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Anyone with info is being asked to call OPD.
