    EPD says over 100 grams of drugs, two guns and $4,500 found during traffic stop

    HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Two people are in custody and charged with multiple drug dealing counts after officers reportedly find drugs, guns and cash in a car during a traffic stop.

    According to an affidavit, officers pulled over a black Ford Fusion for speeding at the intersection of Elliot and Michigan streets. During the stop, officers had the driver, Tessa Oldham, 25, step out, and she allegedly consented to a search.

    Officers reportedly located a folded piece of paper with a brown powder substance in Oldham’s jean pocket, which through the officer’s training, was officers say was a controlled substance. Oldham was detained, and due to this, officers made the passenger, Gage Sloan, 24, get out. He was also detained.

    The search also reportedly turned up more drugs with two clear plastic baggies containing a leafy substance in Oldham’s bra.

    EPD listed the items found during the search as follows:

    • $4,515 in U.S. currency
    • White powdery substance
    • Taurus 9mm handgun
    • Bersa Thunder .380 handgun
    • 8 rounds of .380 ammunition from Bersa handgun
    • 1 round of 9mm ammunition from Taurus handgun
    • Numerous baggies with residue
    • Several clear plastic baggies
    • Folded paper with white powder
    • 10 bags containing green leafy substance
    • Black digital scale with residue
    • 37 THC cartridges in boxes
    • Glass smoking pipe with residue
    • Grey Samsung phone
    • 2 Apple iPhones

    The affidavit also says in total, over 68 grams of synthetic cannabinoid leaf and over 38 grams of synthetic cannabinoid powder were found inside the vehicle.

    Oldham and Sloan are facing multiple charges. Records show Sloan is a convicted felon being convicted of Aggravated Battery in 2019 and is currently on parole until 2026.
