EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The University of Southern Indiana is beginning its search for a new leader.

The USI Board of Trustees met on Thursday to discuss a timeline for the search for a new president. Steve Bridges has served as the University’s interim after Ronald Rochon stepped down this May.

The university plans on naming a new president by July 1 of next year. Students on campus say they hope the next president is involved with the student body.

Board member Chris Ryan will serve as the presidential search committee chair.
