HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Amy Slaton Halterman, a Webster County native and the subject of the reality TV show “1000-Lb Sisters”, made her first appearance in court on Thursday following her Labor Day arrest.

Halterman and Brian Lovvorn plead not guilty to charges of drug possession and child endangerment. The two were arrested at a drive-thru safari park in Crockett County Tennessee after Halterman called authorities to report she had been bitten by a camel. Officers arriving at the scene said they could smell suspicious odors coming from the pair’s vehicle.

Deputies say they found illegal drugs following a search. At the time of their arrest there were two children in the vehicle.
