HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- The Daviess County Sherriff’s Office is getting its first set of body cameras.

Two arrests made relating to child sex abuse in Madisonville

The new equipment has been in the works since last year, and are being made possible through $40,000 in funding from the Daviess County Fiscal Court. The Department is also getting devices that can restrain suspects from 25 feet away, which deputies say will be helpful when confronting someone going through a mental health crisis.

Every patrol deputy is being issued a body camera, and additional devices will go to the investigations unit.

While you're at it, why not give them at least a fifth grade education level. You have detectives that can barely read and write coherent sentences.
