HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Charges have been filed against a man accused of attacking a coworker with a katana and a sai.

The Owensboro Police Department states shortly after 12 p.m. on Thursday, officers began an investigation of a reported assault near W. 4th and Castlen streets. The investigation led officers to multiple locations where officials say several altercations took place between two coworkers.

Detectives reportedly learned that the disturbance between coworkers started at their employment. Video evidence showed 56-year-old Charles Sallee approaching the victim and starting a physical altercation inside one of the buildings. Officials say another fight took place outside before the third incident took place in the road. This time, Sallee allegedly got a katana type sword from his vehicle.

After this one, officials say Sallee confronted the victim again inside Super A Food Mart where Sallee produced a sai (a three-pronged martial arts weapon).

OPD were able to determine that Sallee was the aggressor where he was treated for minor injuries before being booked into the Daviess County Detention Center.
